More than 20 faculty members of the University of Michigan-Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (UM-SJTU JI, JI hereafter) gathered at the Faculty & Staff Club of Long Bin Building on May 29 for a seminar looking into the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in education.  The seminar titled “Teaching Students Generative AI for Writing and Engineering Design,” is the first event of Faculty Development Series in 2024.

Two JI professors rank among 2023 Most Cited Chinese Researchers

Professor Peisen Huang and Professor Xudong Wang of the University of Michigan – Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (UM-SJTU JI, JI hereafter) have been listed as 2023 Most Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier, a Netherlands-based academic publishing company and a global leader in information and analytics.
