讲座摘要

The popularity of electric vehicles requires charging station to satisfy their charging demand. The huge charging demand poses a great challenge to the power grid. Therefore, integrating renewable energy source and battery energy storage could be a possible promising solution. However, the complex system configuration and multiple stochastic factors complicate the planning and energy management. In this dissertation, the planning, control and coordination of single/multiple charging stations are thoroughly investigated. All proposed solutions are studied by comprehensive simulations and comparisons to verify their performance.

主讲人简介

Dongxiang Yan is a PhD student at the University of Michigan-Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute. He received the master degree from China Agricultural University, Beijing, China, in 2016. His current research focuses on modeling and control of micro/smart grids, comprising topics such as EV charging coordination and energy management of charging station with renewables and battery storage.
