讲座摘要

This research develops new methods for complex light field control using digital micromirror devices (DMDs), offering advantages over traditional liquid crystal systems in speed and flexibility. It introduced a multi-wavelength modulation technique that enables full-color holographic displays by optimizing DMD micromirror patterns, maintaining the device's high refresh rate capabilities. For broader applications, a hyperspectral modulation method for white light achieves spectral control with 9nm resolution through fringe hologram encoding. The study also explores practical implementations, including an expanded-view 3D holographic display system and a compact optical computing platform that performs image processing tasks using light scattering in disordered media. These advances demonstrate how DMD-based modulation can enable new possibilities in display technology and optical information processing.

主讲人介绍

Hengzhe Yan is a Ph.D student in nonlinear nano-photonics lab of Prof. Wenjie Wan. He received his bachelor degree at Tongji University in 2020. He studies complex spatial light modulation techniques, including color and hyperspectral modulation methods with Digital Micro-mirror Devices (DMD) as well as their applications in optical computing and 3D holographic displays.
