Dual Degree Program

Earn a second Bachelor degree in an engineering or related field at the University of Michigan! Students in this highly competitive program could select a second major at U-M which is different from the one they are pursuing at JI.

Participants will spend two years studying in Shanghai followed by two years in Ann Arbor and graduate with two Bachelor degrees, one from SJTU and one from U-M. The workload is high, but the field of opportunities is vast.

Global Degree Pathway Programs

Get a head start on your dream career by joining the Global Degree Pathway Programs! Whether you are interested in environmental engineering, data science, business and management, naval architecture or classical engineering disciplines, these pathways provide a way to jump right into the corresponding Master degree programs at a leading international university.

The application period for the pathways is in or just after the fall term of the third year of study, and you travel abroad and start working in the Master program during the fourth year. Typically, you will return to JI in the summer term during the fourth year to finish the Bachelor degree, before going abroad again and completing the Master degree abroad by the end of the fifth year of your studies.

Study Plans
Depending on the pathway, students spend varying amounts of time at JI’s Global Partner (GP) institution.
