Academic Integrity

Academic integrity is one of the central tenets of the Joint Institute. In order to provide a framework for students to follow, JI has adopted an Honor Code based on that of the Engineering College of the University of Michigan. The Honor Code and its implementation has been modified to better reflect the unique circumstances of JI and is one of JI’s distinguishing features among educational institutions in China, both foreign and domestic.

These pages collect information on the Honor Code and its associated institutions, the Honor Council and the Faculty Commission on Discipline (FCD). It also gives guidelines for instructors on how the Honor Code affects their courses and includes a form for reporting suspected violations of the Honor Code.
