Seungyeon Yang from South Korea and Russell Hii Ching Wei from Malaysia are among the 22 winners selected from all international undergraduate students on SJTU campuses who are expected to graduate this year.

“I chose to study at JI is because it abides by the philosophy of internationalization, interdisciplinarity, innovation, and quality, and provides students with a wealth of international education options. My academic journey at JI has not been only about grades but about embracing every opportunity to learn, lead, and contribute to the community,” said the South Korean student.
Russell Hii Ching Wei is a Mechanical Engineering major who has been admitted to a JI Global Degree Pathway program pursuing a Master in Medical Engineering degree at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology of Sweden with a full scholarship. Over the past four years, he has also received numerous awards including the Shanghai Government Scholarship and the JI Yu Liming Scholarship.
“The undergraduate study at JI has laid a strong foundation for my future development. No matter how winding the road ahead may be, I will always carry a heart of gratitude and remember this journey of study in China,” he said.
