Top science journal features mechanical transistors developed by JI team
A research team from the University of Michigan – Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (UM-SJTU JI, JI hereafter) has published an article titled “Thermal Computing with Mechanical Transistors” in Advanced Functional Materials, a top-tier materials science journal with a Nature Index Impact Factor of 19. Featured on the inside cover of the journal, the article highlighted mechanical transistors developed by the research team and demonstrated thermal computing to supplement traditional electronic computing.

Four undergraduate students of the University of Michigan – Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (UM–SJTU JI, JI hereafter) have published a research article titled “Patchable Transparent Standalone Piezoelectric P(VDF-TrFE) Film for Radial Artery Pulse Detection” in International Journal of Energy Research, a journal with an impactor factor of 4.6 and journal citation report top 2%.
JI student team wins silver at national innovation competition

The winning project, titled “A Novel Sensor Method for Battery Health Status Assessment,” addresses critical safety issues in new energy batteries, contributing significantly to the nation’s energy transition.
