JI hosts 2024 Thank You Day to foster culture of appreciation

On December 1, the University of Michigan-Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (UM-SJTU JI, JI hereafter) hosted its 2024 Thank You Day event at the Long Bin Building. The event recognized students receiving JI’s self-established scholarships for the fall semester and expressed gratitude to all supporters who have contributed to the institute’s development.

Doctoral student Yiyang Song of the University of Michigan – Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (UM-SJTU JI, JI hereafter) has won the Best Student Paper Award at the 2024 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Workshop Series on Advanced Materials and Processes for RF and THz Applications. His award-winning paper, titled “A K-band Power Amplifier Designed Based on 65 nm CMOS Process,” was selected from over 300 articles by scholars from around the world at the international seminar held in Nanjing from November 8 to November 11.

The JI-hosted symposium, which took place in a hybrid format with both online and in-person participation, brought together leading young scholars and researchers from top global institutions to exchange ideas and present cutting-edge research.
