On April 4, a tourist boat was involved in an accident near Pier Xishan in Lake Tai, Suzhou. Four JI students were injured and rushed to a local hospital. One passed away after the rescue effort failed. The others are currently in stable conditions. There are also two students still missing. The local government is continuing the rescue effort at this time. Representatives from both JI and SJTU are currently at the site to help with the rescue effort.
