Five undergraduate students from Shanghai Jiao Tong University Global College (SJTUGC, abbreviated as GC) have successfully helped the SJTU Yunhan Jiaolong Team to claim the national championship title at the 24th National Undergraduate Robotics Competition RoboMaster 2025 Super Contest, becoming the first team in RoboMaster history to secure four titles.

The GC students including Yixin Wu (senior), Shuchen Cao (junior), Feiran Wei (junior), Boxi Zhang (junior), and Yunqi Nie (sophomore) served as core members of the SJTU team at the grand finals of the competition, bringing together 46 university teams from around the world, nearly 300 self-developed robots, and more than 1,500 participants.

Throughout the season, the SJTU team overcame challenges and underwent intensive training to refine algorithms, optimize designs, and strengthen collaboration. In the finals, they defeated the teams from China University of Petroleum (East China) and Northeastern University, before overcoming the University of Science and Technology of China’s RoboWalker team to secure the title.

Co-hosted by China’s National Undergraduate Robotics Competition Committee and the Shenzhen Municipal Government, and initiated by DJI together with leading technology enterprises, RoboMaster is a global robotics competition that integrates machine vision, embedded systems, mechanical control, autonomous navigation, and human-machine interaction. The 2025 season introduced new challenges including tiered platforms and narrow tunnels, pushing teams to advance technologies in chassis design, autonomous recovery, load capacity, and mobility optimization.
