Shanghai Jiao Tong University Global College (SJTUGC, abbreviated as GC) hosted the 2025 Young Investigators Symposium on Frontiers in Innovative Technology (FIT) from October 25 to 26 at Long Bin Building. The JI-hosted symposium, which took place in a hybrid format with both online and in-person participation, brought together leading young scholars and researchers from top global institutions to exchange ideas and present cutting-edge research.

At the opening ceremony, Chairman of the GC Council Haojin Zhu extended a warm welcome to participants worldwide. He reviewed the college’s development, faculty achievements, and educational outcomes, emphasizing the forum’s mission to serve as a “bridge” that inspires academic ideas, fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, and attracts global talent.

Focusing on data science and robotics, the forum featured in-depth presentations and discussions on artificial intelligence algorithms, big data analytics, intelligent perception and control, and autonomous robotic systems. Active interactions between speakers and participants reflected the forum’s open and collaborative academic atmosphere.

In his closing remarks, Chengbin Ma, Chair of the Organizing Committee, highlighted the forum’s role in promoting international and interdisciplinary academic exchanges and showcasing the research capabilities and innovative spirit of young scientists. He also invited more global talents to join the college and conduct high-level research and teaching in its international and interdisciplinary environment.
As part of the SJTU “Zhiyuan” International Young Scholars Forum, the FIT symposium demonstrated GC’s commitment to building a world-class academic exchange platform and attracting promising young scholars in data science and robotics to contribute to the advancement of education, science, and technology.
