Abstract

Wavefront measurement, owing to its advantages such as non-contact, high precision, and fast speed, has been widely applied in many fields that involve microscopy, lithography, ultra-precision metrology, or other advanced technologies at the micro or sub-micro precision level. However, the Hartmann wavefront sensor currently suffers from the limitations of the signal cross-talk trade-off and limited aperture problems, which impede its application for large wavefront slope detection. This dissertation proposes the scanning-based extended-aperture Hartmann wavefront sensing to address these limitations.

Biography

Hongfeng Xu is a Ph.D. candidate student at the University of Michigan – Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute, entered in 2019 with a master's degree from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, supervised by Prof. Jigang Wu. His current research focuses on the optical wavefront sensing.
