A JI picnic themed “Soar, JI Soar” took place on the east campus lawn on May 28. The characteristic of this year’s picnic is that in addition to foods, there were various activities including kite design and flying, talent show, and field games. Therefore, the event attracted a big turnout of students and faculty, including Dr. Jason Daida and Dr. Horst Hohberger. During the picnic, students and teachers chatted about topics ranging from academics to life, cooperated in kite design, and played games together. Through the informal interactions, students and faculty members had fun and got to know each other.
The kite-flying brought the event to its climax. Various colorful and beautifully designed kites carrying the wishes of the JI faculty and students soared high in the blue sky. The scene will be forever etched in the participants’ memory.
