“One of the characteristics of JI students is that they study hard and play hard,” remarked Professor Xinwan Li, JI Party Secretary, in his opening address. He hoped that the student officers could show their talents and explore their potential while balancing their duty with study and work. At the same time, he recognized the achievements of the previous student unions. He encouraged the new students to keep up the good work with JI’s full support.
On behalf of the parents committee, Ms. Kathy Xu informed that the JI PTA would provide a wide range of funding and resources for the student activities, facilitate the communication between the students and JI administration, and thereby enrich the students’ life at JI.
Jiacheng Li, Vice President of the Student Union, shared his meaningful experience as a Union Officer during the past year. He hoped that the new officers could realize their strengths while working in the student union, which would become their most valuable asset.
Ms. Xu handed out appointment certificates to the union officers and wished them luck.
