SJTU and the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven) have established research collaboration to pursue research on sustainable energy.  Recently, a JI faculty team composed of Chengbin Ma, Olivier Bauchau, and Mian Li was funded for a joint research project with three researchers from KU Leuven. The title of the project is ‘Advanced Hybrid Approaches for Dynamic Load Identification on Lifetime Critical Components in Rotating Machinery ‐with Special Focus on Wind Turbine Dynamics.’
JI advocates international collaboration on teaching and research. The establishment of the SJTU-KU Leuven Fund will promote academic exchange and advance the research in both universities.
