To encourage the interaction between JI faculty and summer exchange students, JI’s International Program Office organized a luncheon at the SJTU Cultural Exchange Center on May 29. Many JI faculty and staff members and 49 exchange students from University of Michigan and Virginia Tech enjoyed the delicious food and friendly atmosphere at the barbeque Party.

The luncheon provided a great opportunity of interchange. The students asked many questions about JI’s curriculum, major offerings, and exchange programs, and issues about China’s technology development; the faculty members showed concerns for students’ living experience in China. The students learned about JI’s characteristics and the differences with the western universities.
JI promotes international student recruitment and exchange programs. The luncheon has served an important purpose.
