Prof. Xun Wu from University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business visited the Joint Institute on March 19. He gave a seminar titled “The new age of innovation: Convergence in Markets and Talents” in which he discussed the integration of innovative market with talent supply. At the same time, he presented a brief introduction of UM’s Ross Master of Management – Shanghai Cohort program.

In his talk, Prof. Wu analyzed how the industries create competitive advantages from economic, technological, and institutional restructuring, what opportunities are available for domestic enterprises as well as JI students, and how the UM’s Ross Master of Management – Shanghai Cohort program will help JI students seize these opportunities. He pointed out that a good leader should not only improve their own products, but also focus on getting resources through cooperation, which is the training goal of UM’s Ross Master of Management – Shanghai Cohort program.

In response to many seniors’ concern about the Ross Master of Management – Shanghai Cohort program, Prof. Wu answered students’ questions in detail. He has great expectation on this collaborative endeavor between JI and UM. He complimented on JI students’ international vision and outstanding leadership.
