As a JI Class of 2015 master degree graduate, Junbin Zhang is the founder and CEO of Yunjing Intelligence Innovation (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., a company focusing on developing revolutionary technological products in the field of household robotics. He was selected for the Forbes China 30 Under 30 list in 2019, the inaugural Science and Technology Innovation China Top 50 list in 2021, and was named Shenzhen’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Outstanding Contributor to Songshan Lake’s 20-Year Development. In 2022, he was selected for the X·36Under36 list of young entrepreneurs by 36Kr.
Born in 1990, Zhang has been fascinated by robotics since his high school days. During his undergraduate and graduate studies, he engaged in research and development work related to robots and ultra-precision mobile platforms. In 2016, he founded Yunjing Intelligence, focusing on the field of household robots and developing revolutionary technological products. It is one of the few brands in the industry that established its factory from the early stages. The company’s R&D personnel make up over 30% of its workforce, and its core technical members come from renowned domestic and international companies such as Apple, Microsoft, and Huawei. Currently, Yunjing Intelligence has accumulated more than 700 technology patents.
Three years after its establishment, Yunjing Intelligence developed the world’s first robotic vacuum cleaner capable of mopping the floor, and in the subsequent years, they continuously upgraded their products, achieving significant sales performance. Yunjing Intelligence has garnered considerable attention from the capital market and completed its Series E financing in 2021, with a valuation exceeding tens of billions.
