JI Wins 2012 SJTU University Teaching Award

The winner list of the 2012 SJTU Teaching Awards has been published. JI has won an outstanding award in teaching achievement for her reform and innovation in training mechanical engineering students. There had been 119 applications from 31 departments and schools. A total of 84 achievements have been selected for this honor, including 20 outstanding awards, 38 first prizes, and 26 second prizes.
JI won the special prize for having combined imparting knowledge, cultivating capabilities, and building character into a new teaching model and having explored the way to teach critical thinking, knowledge application, problem solving,  team work, communication skills, and honor code.  Since 2006, three undergraduate classes have graduated, with wide recognition of her brand new curricula and teaching model not only from the parents but also from internationally renowned universities and corporates.
