The University of Michigan – Shanghai Jiao Tong Unversity Joint Institute (UM-SJTU JI, JI hereafter) hosted a meeting attended by SJTU leaders, JI faculty and staff members on March 14 to announce new appointments of the JI leadership team. Chien-Pin Chen was officially announced to be JI Interim Dean. The leadership change announcement also included Ming Yang serving as Party Secretary, Scott Yang and Chong Wang serving as Deputy Party Secretaries.
