Dynamic Systems Control Laboratory (DSC Lab)

Description:

The focus of this lab is the designing and developing strategies for the control of dynamic systems. The range of applications is quite broad including vehicles, manufacturing systems, alternative energy systems and several other classes of dynamic systems. An emphasis is on theoretical development coupled closely with experimental investigation. The researches conducted by this lab include a strong “mechatronics” element, i.e. synergistic combination of physical systems, control theory, sensing and actuation devices, which make possible the generation of simpler, more flexible, economical, reliable systems. Current research areas include advanced electric vehicle control systems for enhanced safety, energy efficiency, performance and riding comfort; modeling and control of flexible mechanical systems by fractional order modeling/control; theory and applications for resilient control systems.
