JI Student Union

UM-SJTU Joint Institute (JI) Graduate Student Union is the student organization for graduate students, which consists of three core Departments. Art & Sports Department undertakes a variety of large-scale cultural and sports activities, including the welcome party for freshmen, the badminton competition, and the graduation red carpet show, etc. Career Department with mission of assisting and guiding graduates’ career planning, provides students with information about the industry work through various forms. It helps cultivate students’ professional quality and awareness to the career development. Liaison department is responsible for external communication and internal coordination affairs, which strengthens the connections between JI and other schools’ organizations. Current Presidents are Xinyi Wang, Qinrui Cheng and Jincheng Shi.

The presidium of the Student Union in JI is the top executive committee for routine duties, and is responsible for the administration and management of the whole student union when the student congress is not convened. The present JISU presidium was elected on the fourteenth student congress of the joint institute. It is to make sure that the student union fulfill its duties properly in the upcoming year, and lead JI further on the path to a brighter future.
Current Presidents are Yuzhou Zhai, Yiqi Sun and Yuchen Xia.
