The University of Michigan-Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (JI) hosted the 1st International Symposium on Single Atom Electronics on October 13, 2019 at the CIMC Auditorium of Long Bin Building.

Forbes China, the Chinese-language edition of Forbes, unveiled the 2019 edition of its annual “30 Under 30 China” list recently featuring 600 young innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders who are challenging conventions and making an impact in the world. The University of Michigan-Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (JI) faculty member Rui Yang and alumnus Junbin Zhang were among the listees in the categories of science，energy and environment respectively.
