JI student team wins silver at national innovation competition

A team of students from the University of Michigan – Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (UM-SJTU JI, JI hereafter) has clinched the Silver Award at the 2023 China International College Students Innovation Competition National Finals, marking a historical achievement for JI. The winning project, titled “A Novel Sensor Method for Battery Health Status Assessment,” addresses critical safety issues in new energy batteries, contributing significantly to the nation’s energy transition.
