Credits: 3 credits

Pre-requisites: Graduate Standing

Description:

This course will review the physics of image formation, and image inversion algorithms with emphasis on the use of sparsity priors (compressive imaging.) Basic concepts from statistics and signal processing will be required, as well as basic geometrical and Fourier optics (e.g. Ve 334.)

Course Topics:

review of optical image formation (forward operators) and statistical notions for image quality evaluation.
