Description:

This course provides and introduction to supply chain management, presenting various theories and strategies related to supply chains. The course will cover concepts such as the strategic fit, capacity planning, push- and pull-management, postponement, supply and sales networks, as well as the impact and influence of digital technologies and sustainability on supply chains. Resources, risks, digital technologies, and sustainability in context of supply chains will be discussed, so students will be able to understand the bigger picture and globalized nature of modern supply chains, as well as their implications. This will allow students to develop better strategies for sourcing, manufacture, and distribution, leading to enhanced efficiency and resilience.
